The ITU-APT Foundation of India (IAFI) is pleased to announce its 2nd Preparatory
Workshop on the "Second Preparatory Meeting for WRC-27," scheduled for April 7th, 2025,
in New Delhi. This pivotal workshop will facilitate in-depth discussions on key agenda items
for the WRC-27 and to provide insights from the 34th Meeting of the APT Wireless Group
(AWG-34), which will be concluded on April 4th, 2025. This workshop builds upon the 1st
APT Conference Preparatory Group Meeting for WRC-27 (APG27-1), held in Shanghai,
China, from June 3rd to 6th, 2024, where agenda items allocated to WRC-27, were
distributed to five working parties. The event will also prepare draft India preliminary views
on all agenda items for submission to the 2nd APT preparatory meeting for WRC-27
(APG27-2) which will take place from July 28th to August 1st, 2025, and will focus on
developing.
Key Workshop Session:
- WRC-27 Agenda 1.7: Conducting sharing and compatibility studies for IMT use in the 4.4-
4.8 GHz, 7.125-8.4 GHz, and 14.8-15.35 GHz bands.
- WRC-27 Agenda 1.5: Addressing unauthorized operations of non-GSO earth stations in the
FSS and MSS.
- WRC-27 Agenda 1.13: Allocating new MSS spectrum for direct connectivity between space
stations and IMT user equipment (Satellite Direct to Device).
- WRC-27 Non-Agenda Items: Technical studies on EPFD limits, Radio Regulations Article
22, and protection of GSO FSS and BSS networks.
- WRC-27 Agenda 1.2:Facilitating smaller uplink FSS earth station antennas through revised
sharing conditions in the 13.75-14 GHz band.

This workshop will bring together industry leaders, policymakers, regulatory experts, and
technical specialists to deliberate on critical issues pertaining to spectrum management and
wireless communications. Attendees will acquire valuable insights into the regional and
global imperatives that are shaping the trajectory of wireless communication and spectrum
